Stories of the
Mullins Taylor Farm

Stories of the Mullins Taylor Farm is a small extension of the Christian County Museum located in the Ozarks. One of the primary missions of the Christian County Museum and Historical Society is to educate the public about the local history along with preserving historical artificats and documents. After the demolition of the Mullins Taylor Farm in 2022, the experts at Christian County Museum worked quickly to save the artifacts from the former Ozark farm. Reaching out to design a small exhibit to highlight its Civil War history was part of the same effort.
CONCEPT: Inspired by the visual language of historic newspapers, this exhibit explores the story of Mullins Taylor Farm through era-inspired typography, color palettes, and editorial layouts. An artistic background illustration traces the evolution of the farm’s buildings over time, complementing the period-inspired design to create an immersive experience that invites visitors to engage with the farm’s history as though reading the news directly from the era in which the stories unfolded.
