AudubonGallery

The Brids Gone Wild Audubon Gallery in New Haven Missouri, is an immersive exhibit showcasing and celebrating the intricate bird illustrattions of painter John James Audubon through interactive learning, playful graphics, and environmental storytelling.
THE CONCEPT: The basement features an interactive clasroom with large-scale environmental graphics with cutouts of birds painted by Audubon. The first floor explores bird-related idioms through illustrated panels and a sculptural wooden canopy of trees and birds suspended overhead, while the second floor presents Audubon's original drawings alongside interpretive panels, organized into three themes: Missouri birds, Endangered birds, and Migratory birds, with a sky-inspired ceiling that extends the experience into an atmospheric gallery setting. Together, the three floors create a layered journey that connects artc, language, and the natural world.
